Here are just a few things from a very wonderful devotional for us sisters tonight. There were some WONDERFUL speakers, Sister Buchanan is always so much fun to listen to and her Daughter did just phenomenal. President Christensen did a great job too, very short and very much to the point. Thank you all so much it was just absolutely PERFECT!

This really was very inspirational, wish you could of all been there. Please remember how much we think of each of you, and how important the calling of Visiting teaching is. As was mentioned in the devotional...this is a calling we get for life, it is something that only Women can do, and it is something that every woman needs. Everyone wants to feel important, and loved. Please remember your sisters in your prayers and try to reach out to them. It could turn into a wonderful friendship :)

Visiting Teaching message for April
We thought we'd share the visiting teaching message. Please remember that Heavenly Father is entrusting some of his dear sisters to you. However He dosn't want them to be a burden to you, He wants you to learn to love them and respect them and be their friend. Life is so much easier when we have friends to walk with us and help us on our journey. How lonely we'd all be if we had no friends. Please remember to visit your sisters this beautiful month of April with our thoughts of Confrence still freshly ingrained in our minds!
Teach the scriptures and quotations that will help the sisters you visit understand these principles. Invite those you visit to share what they have felt and learned.
Why Search the Scriptures?
President Howard W. Hunter (1907–95): “I commend to you the revelations of God as the standard by which we must live our lives and by which we must measure every decision and every deed. Accordingly, when you have worries and challenges, face them by turning to the scriptures and the prophets” (“Fear Not, Little Flock,” in 1988–89 Devotional and Fireside Speeches [1989], 112).
President Ezra Taft Benson (1899–1994): “Success in righteousness, the power to avoid deception and resist temptation, guidance in our daily lives, healing of the soul—these are but a few of the promises the Lord has given to those who will come to His word. … Certain blessings are to be found only in the scriptures, only in coming to the word of the Lord and holding fast to it. …
“… Recommit yourselves to a study of the scriptures. Immerse yourselves in them daily so you will have the power of the Spirit to attend you in your callings. Read them in your families and teach your children to love and treasure them” (“The Power of the Word,” Ensign, May 1986, 82).
President Spencer W. Kimball (1895–1985): “As you become more and more familiar with the truths of the scriptures, you will be more and more effective in keeping the second great commandment, to love your neighbor as yourself. Become scholars of the scriptures—not to put others down, but to lift them up! After all, who has any greater need to ‘treasure up’ the truths of the gospel (on which they may call in their moments of need) than do women and mothers who do so much nurturing and teaching?” (“The Role of Righteous Women,” Ensign, Nov. 1979, 102).
How Can I Treasure the Scriptures?
2 Nephi 4:15: “For my soul delighteth in the scriptures, and my heart pondereth them, and writeth them for the learning and the profit of my children.”
Julie B. Beck, Relief Society general president: “One good way to start studying the scriptures is to ‘liken’ them to ourselves (see 1 Nephi 19:23). Some people start by choosing a subject in the Topical Guide that they need to know more about. Or they start at the beginning of a book of scripture and look for specific teachings. …
“Whichever way a person starts studying the scriptures, the key to unlocking important knowledge is to keep studying. I never tire of discovering the rich treasures of truth in the scriptures because they teach with ‘plainness, even as plain as word can be’ (2 Nephi 32:7). The scriptures testify of Christ (see John 5:39). They tell us all things we should do (see 2 Nephi 32:3). They ‘make [us] wise unto salvation’ (2 Timothy 3:15).
“Through my scripture reading and the prayers that accompany my study, I have gained knowledge which brings me peace and helps me keep my energies focused on eternal priorities. Because I started reading the scriptures daily, I have learned about my Heavenly Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and what I need to do to be like Them” (“My Soul Delighteth in the Scriptures,” Liahona and Ensign, May 2004, 108–9).

April Happenings
April 18th~ Our day at the cannery. ANYONE who would like to order anything please get your orders into Kristal by friday night! Also we will be going to the cannery on MAY 16th as well so you may order then too.
Don't forget that the Temple is closed for two weeks
May 7th and 8th is Quilting with Mariah. Just one block and a catch up from the previous two blocks. Come join in there is still time!
May 6th is the book club meeting at Sara Donaldsons house
May 14th is Enrichment where we will be doing our vinyl lettering and more info to follow!
We will also be getting things arranged for a few mini classes to come in the next few months. Please sisters if you have some input on anything please let us know. Everything runs more smoothly with advice, love and support on all sides. We pray for you all and hope that you will feel you can come to us for help or suggestions. May we all keep the spirit of this Easter season in our Hearts and remember the love of the Savior for us.

The First Presidencys Easter message
At this Easter season of hope and renewal we testify of the glorious reality of the atonement and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The empty tomb brought comforting assurance and provided the answer to the question of Job, “If a man die, shall he live again?” (Job 14:14).
Because of the Savior’s resurrection we will overcome death and become the beneficiaries of His mercy and grace. In a world of trouble and uncertainty, His peace fills our hearts and eases our minds. Jesus is in very deed “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).
We give our sure witness that Jesus is the Christ. Though He was crucified, He rose triumphant from the tomb to our everlasting blessing and benefit. To each member of the human family He stands as our Advocate, our Savior, and our Friend.
President Thomas S. Monson and his counselors, President Henry B. Eyring and President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, constitute the First Presidency of the Church.
Jesus Christ is central to Mormon beliefs and doctrine. Sermons given at the Church’s recent worldwide general conference included doctrinal discourses on Jesus Christ. A video summary of a talk given by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, a member of the Church’s Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, focuses the attention of “those who are alone or feel alone or, worse yet, feel abandoned” to the life of Jesus Christ, and can be viewed here.

HOW TO HELP OURSELVES AND OTHERS HAVE HOPE!
Okay sisters~ I hope there are a lot of you reading this, we really have no idea. Anyways todays relief society lesson was given by Sister Yaeger and it was AMAZING! So she gave us a hand out and I would like to post it for you!
How to help ourselves and others have HOPE
"As Daunting as the future may seem, sometimes we can acquire a gospel oriented outlook of optimism and hope"
~Believe in Jesus Christ, Search the scriptures, Pray, Listen to and follow the living Prophet, Serve others, Develop hobbies and skills, Keep active and involved, Keep a journal, be prepared, find and rejoice in the times of happiness, find balance in life!
fear not to do good...for what so ever ye sow, that shall ye also reap, if ye sow good you shall also reap good for your reward. Live in a way that can keep anyone from being robbed of Optimism, confidence, and hope.
And one of the VERY BEST quotes she shared that I feel compelled to share is " The best kind of hope is to have hope when there is no hope."
Oh Sister Yaeger if you only knew how truly inspiring you are. Just absolutely amazing and sent at such a perfect time to bless our sisters with a message of HOPE! Just incredible!
